Collecting Leaves

I am trying to collect leaves to try and start a project with my Grade 1 and 2 making animals out of assembling and glueing leaves of different shapes, colours and sizes together. I have been on the hunt for leaves and today was my most amazing leaf hunt day. I realized that my plan to try an teach leaf art to my students has pushed me to look much more closer and deeper in to the shapes, colours, size and life of the leaves around me. It's incridible how many hues of reds, pinks, oranges, coppers, greens, browns, yellows, burgundies and much more you see.
